Mothers day and Baby update

 Hello Blogville its your one and only gossip bunny with all the latest news from my little corner of the world. To start off it's Mothers Day in the UK so I want to wish of the mum's out there of humans and furbabies alike a very Happy Mothers Day! Have a fabulous day today....

So here are some lovely flowers for you all to look at for today, enjoy!

Now for an up date on Baby the Jackdaw. He's doing okay. Today was cleaning day, mum had to give his perches a scrub as there was some of his poop building up in places and break up the areas on the ground and wash it away. Cleaning is important but it has to be done in away not to stress him out so it's a scrubbing brush and a bowl of water job and not a hose pipe in sight.

Time flies even when you're not doing much

 Hello Blogville, it's your one and only gossip bunny with all the latest news from my corner of the world. They say Time flies when you're Having Fun.... but the truth is time flies even when you're not. It flies when the weather is grim and you can't get out to do anything and that my friends is just boring. So before mum took down Christmas we had a bit of this....

We had that for a couple of days....That was our winter and then it rained and rained and rained...well you get the gist of it. So after mum took down Christmas she started refurbing the kitchen cabinets and then this happened....

Baby the Jackdaw happened. He started by gradually losing his tail but he could still fly and then we had some bad storms which ended up damaging his feathers on one wing to the point that he couldn't fly so with the help of our friend we caught him in a neighbours garden and he took up residence in a cage our shed...But he hated the cage and was going stir crazy. Mum knew he needed more space so she converted this part of the garden and built this....

A temporary aviary for Baby....

and today Baby was moved to his new but temporary aviary till he grows out his new feathers...

Is Baby happy about being in the aviary? Well not 100% but he's not going stir crazy and doing more damage to his feathers either. He's been exploring the network of branches and perches that mum put in there for him to get about and he's found some news of his own in the bay tree and the little apple tree and a little ledge above the door and then got himself stuck so shouted to mum for help to get him back down which she did. I am sure over the next few days he will work it out for himself how to get down from those places on his own, its a regular jungle gym in there for him. So in 3 or 4 months he should regrow new feathers and be back to flying again and then flying about with his pals again.

Happy New Year!

 Hello Blogville its your one and only Gossip Bunny with all the latest news from my corner of the world. Yesterday we said farewell to 2025 and Today we say hello to 2026. After nearly 4 months of rain Christmas turned cold and dry and with the Start of the New Year we have a wintry mix of weather. Its still cold but we are having some wintry stuff with a hard frost in the night followed by freezing rain early this morning and then some sleet showers other places in the uk have been having the same but with more snow instead but we do have some of the white stuff in the forecast over the weekend and into the new week....we will see if that happens not that we will get a lot but is will be nice to see a little of the white stuff but it won't last long because its going to change to wet and cold in the middle of the week.

Jo-Jo and Baby are still coming for their meals and we still have one Prickle awake wanting his or her meals though I think with the colder weather he or she may decided to bed down in his or her box in the the garden for the rest of the winter....I can't blame him or her because I would like to do that till spring but alas my metabolism won't allow me to do that.

I had a fab time over Christmas with Grandma, it was so much fun. I had lots of presents which I am enjoying but sadly Grandma went home so now it just Mummy and Daddy and me. Today Mummy cooked a big New Year lunch for her and Daddy while I had lots of greens and snacks to celebrate the New year. And on that note I want to send you all good wishes, good health and much happiness in the coming year!
