This is a wild European Hedgehog the type we have in the UK,this is what LH would look like if I was able to take  photo

African Pygmy Hedgehog is a domesticated hybrid smaller than the wild ones in the UK

  1. My son has been wanting a hedgehog for years. I finally agreed to get him one a few moments ago. It was a bribe. I am all comfortable and I wanted him to get me a glass of water. Now I HAVE to get him a hedgehog.

  10. I met 2 hedgehogs on 2 separate occasions at the vet. And both had skin troubles. It was funny how they would "pop" upwards to keep people from touching them. :)

    1. yes a hedgehog that hasn't been handle much will do that its a defence thing but they can be encouraged to open up,as for skin troubls thats normally down to mites or diet or stress or a mix of all three
